Jill Scott: Sepp Blatter's comments on women's football are 'disappointing'
England midfielder Jill Scott says FIFA President Sepp Blatter's recent comments about women's football are "disappointing".
Manchester City鈥檚 Scott was reacting after Blatter described football as "macho" and told the 大象传媒 World Service the women's game was "limping behind" the men's when it comes to sponsorship.
"It's a completely different game to ours," said Scott. "The men are always going to be genetically stronger, faster but I think people who've watched women's football can see that technically and tactically we can compete with them."
"We try and get away from direct comparison and it doesn't help when we're constantly being put into the same bracket as the men's as we're never going to come out on top," she added.
