Dad of two experiences the pain of childbirth
Childbirth is "not something you're used to experiencing", says Penn Holderness.
The dad of two agreed to be hooked up to a labour simulator to find out for himself just how painful labour can be.
Speaking to 5 live's Rachel Burden, Penn said the device works by stimulating the "rectus muscles" with electrodes to mimic the muscular contractions in childbirth.
Penn managed to endure 15 minutes of contractions before "throwing in the towel", which he admits is a far cry from his wife Kim's 10-hour-long labour with their first child.
