UKIP MEP: 'Needed to change sometimes neocon, tea party tone'
Steven Woolfe, UKIP MEP and the party's immigration spokesman said UKIP is "not a right wing鈥 and sometimes slipped into a negative tone during the election, but the 鈥渢one has moved inexorably forward鈥.
This followed comments by UKIP's economics spokesman Patrick O'Flyn, who told The Times Mr Farage risked turning the party into a "personality cult".
鈥淲hat was absolutely correct about Patrick鈥檚 analysis of this鈥.is that sometimes the tone in our party had started to slip to something much more negative," said Mr Woolfe.
He said that a "very positive campaign" is needed to get out of the European Union.
