Argentina Football Violence "Embarrassing"
Copa Libatadores quarter-final between Boca Juniors and River Plate is abandoned.
"Embarrassing" - that's how the Argentinian football world is describing the scenes that caused the abandonment of Thursday's Super Clasico between River Plate and Boca Juniors.
The Copa Libatadores quarter-final second leg, the third meeting of the Buenos Aires rivals in just 11 days, was halted early in the second half after some Boca fans managed to spray several River Plate players with an irritant affecting their eyesight.
This comes in the same week Emanuel Ortega died after colliding into a pillar used to prop up a crowd controlling fence.
So, what does this latest off-field incident mean for the future of the Super Clasico?
