Joan Armatrading: Stones and U2 owe 'a load' to BB King
Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, Joan Armatrading, said BB King was "an incredible influence" on other artists such as the Rolling Stones and U2, following the blues legend's death, aged 89.
BB King was still playing live up to a late age, and was considered by many as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Ms Armatrading, who was the first female UK artist to debut at number one in Billboards Blues charts, said BB King was a "supreme being" of the blues, who could "say more with one note" than others could with "a hundred".
