Holyfield v Romney was: 'how you'd hit your grandkids'
"The organiser of the charity boxing bout between Evander Holyfield and Mitt Romney says it was "a fun choreographed event."
Doug Jackson from Charity Vision spoke to Dotun Adebayo about the event, which saw former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield get into the ring together.
"It was a fun choreographed event," he said. "I think they took turns being backed up to the ropes and letting the other one pummel at them, kind of how you would hit your grandkids. Mitt's used to boxing with his grandkids, so that's about as hard as any blow went."
Jackson also revealed Romney had been training before he got in the ring: "He went to a local club. I think he would go down there once or twice a week, try and get his footwork down and learn how to throw a punch, so he's spent a few nights in the gym for sure."
