Andy Burnham: You should never choose between your family or standing for office
Andy Burnham tells 5live Drive about the difficulties that being in the public eye bring to his personal life.
He calls a broadsheet newspaper "unacceptable" after it published a story about his wife that got several personal details wrong, and says "newspapers do politics and democracy a great disservice" when they behave that way.
He tells 5live he "sympathises" with Chukka Umuna's decision to stand down from the race to become the Labour party leader, and says "it should never be the case that you have to choose between your family or standing for office".
