After a hard start in life, singer Shivan Namara has everything to live for. She was born with HIV. Her mother died of AIDS and her father, she says, abandoned her. She began anti-retroviral treatment as a 14 year old but she found it hard to stick to her regime of medication. As a result, her infection developed resistance to these drugs.
