The Pastor with The Bible for Tattoos
Nadia Bolz-Weber is a former stand-up comedian and alcoholic who was brought up in a traditional Christian household. She left the faith around the time she was drinking. She then became a pastor within the Lutheran church and heads up the House For All Sinners and Saints in Denver in the US which is an inclusive church and welcomes Christians who may feel that establishment churches wouldn’t allow them in: gay and transgender people, criminals and people on the ‘margins’.
She is a traditional Christian in terms of her belief but not so traditional in the people she reaches out to and her methods, including the many tattoos she has which depict religious scenes.
