Bob Harris has recalled an "amazing" interview with Van Morrison where the Northern Irish folk singer "didn't say a word".

Harris, who presented The Old Grey Whistle Test at the time, said Van Morrison refused to answer questions but let out "the occasional grunt in my approximate direction."

"He had two of the guys with his band with him, thank goodness as the interview progressed they began to answer questions on his behalf," said Harris.

"He didn't want to speak during the interview but he didn't want to not be there," added Harris later.
