Macedonia: the perilous gateway to Western Europe
Thousands of migrants and asylum seekers -mainly from the Middle East- attempt to reach Western Europe through the Balkan state of Macedonia. Many get kidnapped by criminal gangs who hold them for ransom. Others face abuse from Macedonian police, as the 大象传媒's Dina Demrdash reports.
