In our regular ‘I was there’ feature, Peter looks back at the Brighton riots of 1964 when violent clashes took place between gangs of mods and rockers. The events were famously dramatized in the film Quadrophenia. Peter is joined by a mod, a rocker and a former police constable, as well as Suzanne McDonald-Walker, the author of a book called ‘Bikers: Culture, Politics and Power’.
