Why British children are giving teddies to Syria
Children in Syria are to receive 12,000 teddies, thanks to the generosity of British children.
Ellie Targett, founder of the Teddy Trust, said the toys can have a "profound effect" on traumatised children.
"We've all had teddies as children and you know what they're like, they're so comforting. If something happens to you, the person you go to and talk to is the teddy".
She said the donated toys can be beneficial to police working in rape crisis centres as well as children's hospitals and hospices.
