Liz Kendall
Leicester West MP Liz Kendall has won a place on the ballot for the Labour Party leadership after securing the support of 35 of her party's MPs.
According to figures released by Labour, she's one of three candidates to gain the support needed along with Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham and the Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.
Nominations close in less than a week and then the successful candidates will spend the summer convincing party members they're the right person to lead Labour.
Jim Davis spoke to Liz, for the first time since she was re-elected for Leicester West.
