Tony Hall: 'Crucial time for the 大象传媒'
David Cameron's re-election with a majority, followed by the appointment of John Whittingdale as Culture Secretary led the newspaper headline writers to conclude: the new government is going to war with the 大象传媒.
大象传媒 Director General Tony Hall says it is a "crucial time" for the 大象传媒 ahead of the renewal of the Royal Charter in 2016 and a new licence fee settlement.
Speaking to Andrew Marr, he says the broadcaster's mission to "inform, educate and entertain is as pertinent now" as it has ever been.
