
'It鈥檚 an unmanageable situation'
'Chemsex' is having a huge effect on the lives of gay men, particularly in the capital.
It is a world of private parties, organised on social media, where whole weekends can be lost in a haze of drugs and sex.
The drugs involved, often liquid ecstasy - known as 鈥淕鈥 - lower inhibitions: HIV and Hep C infections are rising, and some of these men lose relationships, money and careers.
鈥淚t鈥檚 an unmanageable situation that can get out of control very quickly,鈥 said Adrian Trett, who was the Liberal Democrat candidate for Vauxhall at the last election.
He revealed he was HIV+ during the campaign and that he was involved in the chemsex scene.
