
'It鈥檚 an unmanageable situation'
'Chemsex' is having a huge effect on the lives of gay men, particularly in the capital.
It is a world of private parties, organised on social media, where whole weekends can be lost in a haze of drugs and sex.
The drugs involved, often liquid ecstasy - known as 鈥淕鈥� - lower inhibitions: HIV and Hep C infections are rising, and some of these men lose relationships, money and careers.
鈥淚t鈥檚 an unmanageable situation that can get out of control very quickly,鈥� said Adrian Trett, who was the Liberal Democrat candidate for Vauxhall at the last election.
He revealed he was HIV+ during the campaign and that he was involved in the chemsex scene.
