The brothers running Syria's only commercial vineyard
Domaine de Bargylus is Syria's only commercial winery. The wine is still being produced despite the country's bitter civil war and the spread of Islamist groups. It is the creation of brothers Karim and Sandro Saade who were fulfilling their father's dream of owning a vineyard in Syria. They now manage the project from Beirut.
