Japan has cancelled a project to build a new stadium for the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020, because its cost has swelled to more than $2 billion. That is exactly what Shezanne Cassim, an American citizen, says happened to him and his friends in the United Arab Emirates. He was subsequently deported to the United States, but is now struggling to find work because of the criminal conviction. The 大象传媒's Jonathan Frewin reports that Mr Cassim is now seeking a royal pardon.
