Youlgrave, Derbyshire: Window Made from War Wreckage
During World War One, two brothers from the village of Youlgrave were amongst those who fought.
Rennie Crompton Waterhouse from Lomberdale Hall was killed at Gallipoli in 1915. His brother, Charles survived.
Charles was in Ypres and chose to bring home with him some of the stained glass from the destroyed cathedral there. The glass was given to All Saints Church in Youlgrave where they made a special stained glass window in memory of the dead brother and others who died in the conflict.
