'The Australians are seen as bully boys'

As the second Ashes Test kicks-off at Lord's, former England cricketer Mike Selvey and Australian reporter Melinda Farrell discuss one of cricket's oldest rivalries.

"Around the world the Australians are seen as bully boys", acknowledged Melinda Farrell.

Provoking the opposition during the match, more commonly known as sledging, is not necessary, said Mike Selvey.

"You can play cricket in an adventurous way, in a good spirit."

Despite England's victory, the Test remains in the balance, as the newly invigorated English are up against a team ranked second in the world. However, in 15 of the last 17 Ashes series the team victorious in the first test has gone on to win the urn.
