Fairclough: Liverpool owners showed 'courage' to stick with Rodgers
Former Liverpool striker David Fairclough believes the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, showed courage to keep manager Brendan Rodgers in charge.
Changes have been made to the back room staff over the summer, but Rodgers has remained in charge for a fourth season.
Speaking on Merseyside Sport, Fairclough said: "I know in this modern generation people think if it's broke, then change it. So I think it's great that they've shown a courage in keeping faith and investing, and showing that confidence."
Asked if this would be a defining season for Rodgers, Fairclough replied: "It's a massive season there's no doubt about that. Liverpool can't afford to be outside the conversation of who is going to win the Premier League."
