Hundreds of carers in Leicestershire aren't claiming money they are entitled to. Carer's Credit is for people who look after someone for 20-hours or more each week and helps them to boost their pension after retirement. But a massive 95% of people who are eligible in Leicestershire aren't signed up to it.
Also, the owner of an award winning Leicestershire vineyard says a lack of sun over the summer may have ruined large parts of this year's grape harvest. The Kingfishers' Pool vineyard at Rothley grew enough grapes for two thousand bottles of wine last year. But this year's gloomy summer is likely to leave them well short of that target.
And, all kinds of events are taking place throughout September as the Pass It On Campaign swings into action. 大象传媒 Radio Leicester received the flag from Leicestershire Police today, but they began the campaign yesterday with a full day of activity at Enderby HQ including the Pass It On Games!Teams were recruited from companies all over the city and 'invited' to come along and take part in their It's A Knockout competition - including our good selves. Team 大象传媒 Radio Leicester included Jim Davis, Sophie Cook and the inimitable Helen McCarthy.
