EU Rules Employee Travel Time Counts As Working Hours

Pope Francis is due to visit the United States this month, touring important sites of worship in Washington, New York and Philadelphia, as well as a school in Harlem and a prison. The Pontiff will also address the United Nations, the US Congress and meet President Obama. But the visit is likely to make more waves than usual for a papal visit, because of the strong positions he has taken on subjects like climate change and economic inequality. Earlier this year he described unbridled capitalism as 'the dung of the devil' - and in an encyclical earlier this year urged 'a revolution' to fight global warming. We hear from the economist Irwin Stelzer, from the Hudson Institute, about the possible impact of the Pope's visit.
Access to a fast internet connection where you live and work is increasingly seen as one of the essentials of modern life. But still, even in a developed country like the UK there are those who miss out. Right now in Britain 10% of the population have very slow access to the web, or none at all. A government initiative aims to close that gap in the coming years, but even then, there will still be three million people who will remain left out. However as the 大象传媒's Marie Keyworth reports, help is at hand from an unlikely source - tall church steeples.
21st Century Fox is extending its relationship with National Geographic, giving it a controlling stake in the National Geographic Magazine, until now a non profit publication. Fox and the National Geographic Society say the deal will help fuel future growth and investment in scientific and environmental causes. But is that the case?
