The Final Years of British Rule in India
Sir Denholm Fraser liaised with India's Maharajas in the run up to independence
Sandra Anson arrived in India in 1942. She became personal assistant to Sir Denholm Fraser at the British residency in Bangalore. Fraser was the political agent liaising between the Crown and the Indian princes, the Maharajas, at the time of Indian independence.
