Why did India cut rates so sharply?
When India's central bank cut interest rates for the fourth time this year, few were surprised. But the size of the cut – 50 basis points from 7.25% to 6.75% - was bigger than most expected.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Simon Atkinson asked JP Morgan's chief economist for India, Sajiid Chinoy, what the size of the rate cut tells us.
