The changing scenes in French music
A protest has been held on some French radio stations against a quota system for playing francophone music.
The Government insists that forty percent of songs broadcast be in French.
It's long been welcomed by some artists and musicians, but some Gallic crooners are in fact rubbish - as are some who warble in English - and DJs and producers don't want to play them.
Faced with demands for more francais from the Culture Minister, some private stations opted out of the quote system for twenty four hours.
