The Perils of Predicting the Future
Flying cars. Hoverboards. Self-tying shoelaces. Just a few of the visions of a world yet to come, laid out in the Back to the Future trilogy of sci-fi movies in the 1980s. And October 21st, 2015 was the very date the main characters travelled forward to during the second film. Some of the technology predicted, like flat screen TVs, video calling, and virtual reality headsets, have become more a part of our lives than those self-tying shoelaces. Tony Bonsignore has been taking a trip down memory lane with Bob Gale, who co-wrote Back to the Future II.
