Which earthquakes are more destructive?
Unlike the earthquake that hit Nepal six months ago, the epicentre of the latest one in South Asia was 200 kilometres deep in the earth's crust. As our science correspondent Jonathan Webb explains the depth at which an earthquake strikes influences its destructive power.
