Nick Clegg: 'Any options worse than EU membership'
Former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has told the Today programme that any possible options for the UK outside the EU are worse than being a member.
The ex-Lib Dem leader said "early skirmishes" should be based on the reality of the situation.
"Let's not do it on the false prospectus that we can somehow have our cake and eat it - leave the EU and keeping all the good bits and discarding all the bad bits," he told James Naughtie.
