Can Democratic Myanmar Maintain the Boom?

The economic impact of Myanmar elections, another scandal rocks world sport, this time in athletics, and counting the cost for farmers of the typhoon season in the Philippines.

We look at the historic elections in Myanmar (formerly Burma) and at the predicted victory for Aung San Suu Kyi's opposition NLD movement. How might this affect the enormous and growing potential of the economy? We get the thoughts of Burmese-born businessman, Keith Win, founder of the British-Burmese Trade Association.

Also in the programme, we look at the fallout of the latest damning report from the World Anti-Doping Agency. It calls for Russia's suspension from the sport, after detailing a wide-ranging cover-up of alleged doping of the country's athletes. But how would a ban against such a powerful country affect athletics' global reputation and pulling power? We get the thoughts of the 大象传媒's sports news reporter, Richard Conway.

Also, we hear from the Philippines - where Fergus Nicoll has been counting the cost of a devastating typhoon season there on local agriculture and looking at the implications for the Paris Climate Summit.
