Now with winter well and truly on its way and the fog misting the cold air, you might think twice about leaving the warmth of your home.
But for many across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, the cold weather can make them feel more isolated than ever.
Loneliness can affect any of us but, around this season, its often the elderly that are hardest hit.
So yesterday the West Indian Senior Citizens Project was held to enable African Caribbean elders to improve their quality of life.

She told him that it was all about encouraging socialising - which is why she went dressed as Diana Ross!
