Rise in admissions for malnutrition

The number of people treated at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for symptons of malnutrition has increased.

In 2012, the hospital treated 40 people. That figure had more than doubled, to 87, in 2014.

A Department of Health spokesperson said the rising figures, revealed as the result of a Freedom of Information request, "may be due to better diagnosis and detection... but more action is required."
