Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr joined us at the tail-end of his UK tour to play tracks from his new solo album, Momentary Masters. He told us about starting from scratch after rehab, recording at his home studio in upstate New York, and the importance of maintaining ‘normal human behaviour’ when creating. Purveyors of the most perfectly ramshackle garage-pop around, Hinds, dropped in to play us a couple of their infectious tunes. They sang along to Mac DeMarco, told us about playing a gig in a castle, and explained why sometimes they’d rather just be left alone.
