David Davis: ‘No idea’ how Syria war will end
Conservative MP David Davis says extending UK airstrikes into Syria would mean being drawn deeper into a conflict more difficult to predict than Iraq or Libya.
Mr Davis, the former shadow home secretary, is one of an estimated 10 Conservative MPs believed to be preparing to vote against the strikes.
“Any fight you take on has got to have an end, and you've got to know where it's going to end,” he told the Today programme.
“Actually we know less about the end of this one than we did about Libya, or we believe we did about Libya, or indeed the Iraq war.”
