Philip Hammond: public wouldn't support UK troops in Syria
Labour is demanding an apology from David Cameron after he described some of the MPs opposed to air strikes in Syria as a "bunch of terrorist sympathisers". The row has erupted as Mps prepare to debate whether to extend air strikes against Islamic State militants from Iraq to Syria. The prime minister appears to be on course for a clear majority in the vote tonight. The Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, was asked if that applied to all critics of airstrikes
