Faith after the pharaohs
Dan Damon visits a new exhibition at the British Museum which brings together many ancient and fascinating objects to tell the story of the different faith communities that have existed in Egypt since the death of Cleopatra. The items have been uniquely preserved in Egypt鈥檚 arid climate and their survival provides unparalleled access to the lives of individuals and communities, telling a rich and complex story of influences, long periods of peaceful coexistence, and intermittent tension and violence between Jews, Christians and Muslims.
