UKIP leader Nigel Farage says 鈥渂ent鈥� postal votes played a part in the Oldham West and Royton by-election, which was won by Labour with a majority of 10,835.

Mr Farage told the Today programme that there were 鈥渂ig ethnic changes in the way people are voting鈥�.

鈥淚n some of these seats, where ... people don't speak English but they're signed up to postal votes, effectively the electoral process is now dead,鈥� he told presenter Sarah Montague.
