拢5m Suffolk police cuts implications
Suffolk Police has revealed how it plans to save 拢5m over the next two years, part of the overall saving of more than 拢20m by March 2020 which is already under way.
In future the only police stations open to the public will be Ipswich, Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds.
Staffing will be down too, with 26 fewer police officers, 17 fewer police staff, and a cut in PCSOs of 68 posts.
Temporary Chief Constable Gareth Wilson explains the implications.
