Family considers France move for treatment
Colchester couple Rob and Clare Baker are desperately hoping the NHS will fund a breakthrough drug that could help their sons to continue walking.
Issac, who is three, and six-year-old William have muscular dystrophy. Most children who have the condition need a wheelchair before the age of 12.
The National Institute for Clinical and Health Excellence (NICE) is expected to decide in the next few weeks whether Translarna will be made available to their sons and about 50 other children in the UK.
The charity, Muscular Dystrophy UK, says it's already offered to children in countries including Germany, France, Spain and Italy.
