Grainger in Bergen
Percy Grainger visited composer Edvard Grieg at his home in Bergen
On a visit to London in 1906, composer Edvard Grieg requested to meet the young Australian composer Percy Grainger, who was heavily influenced by English and Nordic folk music. They quickly established a friendship and artistic rapport.
The following year Grainger travelled to Norway to visit Grieg at his home in Bergen, a month before the composer died.
