In early 2014, thousands of acres of farmland, many homes and businesses were deluged in a major flood in the Somerset Levels, which many experts said would never happen. Since Roman times, the Fens of East Anglia have been shaped, dug, modified, drained and farmed intensively. In an area very similar to the Levels, could there be a major inland flooding episode in Cambridgeshire?
