Are we reading less?
Well we're asking this, because the East Midlands has seen one of the biggest falls in the number of people using public libraries over the past year. According to the Chartered Institute of Public Finance, visits to our regions libraries fell by almost 7% (6.9%) compared to the national average of 4.8%.
Now we know that libraries offer a lot more than borrowing books nowadays, but it got us questioning whether reading as a pastime was a thing of the past?
We spoke to Grace Timms, who's been running the the Queens Road Book Group in the Stoneygate area of Leicester for the last 4 years.
