Should motorists over 70 be retested if they want to carry on driving?
Currently those aged 70 must fill in a self-assessment form every three years to renew their licences.
Benjamin Brooks-Dutton, whose wife was killed by an elderly driver who mistook the accelerator for the brake, has started an online petition calling for over-70s to be retested every three years. It has received over 200,000 signatories.
