It's been described as one of the biggest fires in Leicester in years, and two days on, people are counting the cost of the major factory blaze in Belgrave. At its height, fifteen fire engines were tackling the fire, which broke out on Monday on Ross Walk. Fire investigators are due to return to the scene of a huge blaze in Belgrave this morning. & crews are hoping to have everyone back in their homes after having to evacuate them to safety later.
Also, there are fears of more flooding in northern England and southern and central Scotland, as storm Frank brings heavy rain and strong winds. Thousands of homes in Northern Ireland are without power and several properties at Tadcaster in North Yorkshire have been evacuated, after a bridge collapsed.
And, a Leicester lecturer is amongst a group of experts claiming that security lights could actually help criminals. The Dark Skies group has looked into the effectiveness of the home security systems, and how they are perceived by burglars. They've also been researching how having the lights affects our health.
