Why is India important for Google?

Google's top executives have been in India unveiling some of their latest plans for the country.

They included building new Google campuses in Hyderabad and Bangalore, running developer programmes in 30 universities and supporting 1,000 start-ups with funding. And there was a pledge to provide free wi-fi in railway stations across the country.

But connectivity is a big problem in India and the 大象传媒's Shilpa Kannan asked Google executive Caesar Sengupta how access to the internet could be improved.
