20 years since the Newbury Bypass protests
Protestors, police officers and politicians tell the story of the Newbury Bypass
The protests against the A34 Newbury Bypass in January 1996 were some of the most ferocious ever seen in Britain.
Environment campaigners argued the road would damage the countryside. The government said it would ease traffic congestion in the town centre.
Twenty years on, protestors, police officers and politicians join Andrew to tell their stories.
