Hundreds of people have been evacuated and thousands of homes left without power in Scotland, Northern Ireland and parts of northern England.
Well people from Leicestershire moved by the plight of flood victimshave come together to send donations.
People in villages across Leicestershire have grouped together to open up church halls for collections, advertise for donations, find shipping pallets and even a forty four tonne articulated lorry has been commissioned to leave the county heading for Cumbria on Sunday.
All this in a few days!
Motivated to help, 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Helen McCarthy has been to visit one of the collection points.
