David Cameron and Jeremy Corbyn clashed over the government's record on flood defences during Prime Minister's Questions.

Mr Corbyn said a series of flood defence schemes had been "cancelled, postponed or cut" by the government and "too many lessons ignored".

He called for a "coordinated cross-party approach" to flooding but the PM responded with an attack, saying the Labour leader could not coordinate his own party.

He also dismissed Mr Corbyn's call for a "statutory duty" for fire and rescue services to deal with floods, saying they already knew what to do in such situations - and he pledged that flood defence investment would continue.
