Police 'don't need' a headquarters, says crime commissoner
Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Adam Simmonds, says Northamptonshire Police "don't need" a headquarters and might not have one in the future.
Mr Simmonds has today started a consultation on plans to sell off it's HQ buildings in order to build a school - with surrounding land being earmarked for as yet unspecified development.
Two new police buildings would be built in the north of the county - but not as a single central base.
