Spain ‘cannot put up with more austerity’
As Spain’s politicians struggle to reach a deal over a new government, Begoña VillacÃs, a senior figure in the Citizens Party, has told the ´óÏó´«Ã½ that austerity doesn’t have to mean higher taxes. She told World Business Report’s Mike Johnson that Spanish people were angry and unsatisfied following six years of austerity. She also criticised the growing number of part-time jobs and temporary contracts in Spain. Mike asked her first whether a fundamental disagreement over the future direction of the economy is blocking the formation of a new government.
